"How to reduce single-use plastic: Guidance for tourism businesses" offers thorough methods for cutting down on the usage of single-use plastic in the travel and tourism sector in 2021. The guidelines, which are available from Futouris e.V., Travel Without Plastic, and Save The Med, highlight sustainable habits by utilising the three R-principles: reduce, reuse, and recycle. They also provide useful resources, such as the Let's Reduce Single-Use Toolkit. These programmes seek to involve stakeholders from all segments of the global tourism industry, reduce operating costs, and lessen the impact on the environment. These initiatives support long-term tourist sustainability and the preservation of vacation spots by endorsing sustainable alternatives and encouraging cooperation with nearby businesses, organisations, and communities.
