Easy Go Out is an initiative developed by young volunteers from the Rome Provincial Section of AISM (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Society) and supported by AGN ENERGIA. The project aims to promote social inclusion, empowerment, and the centrality of individuals, regardless of their needs.
Launched online in 2021, Easy Go Out seeks to enhance the social participation of people with specific needs by highlighting best practices in accessibility. It showcases barrier-free commercial, cultural, and recreational activities to ensure everyone can fully enjoy their leisure time and urban environment.
Users can contribute by recommending accessible venues, sharing reviews, or becoming Accessibility Operators. This role involves volunteering to assess and promote accessible locations, furthering the project's mission of creating a more inclusive and sustainable world.
Additionally, Easy Go Out offers itineraries and articles on accessible and sustainable practices, offering resources and inspiration for inclusive experiences.
With over 1,000 accessible venues already mapped across Italy and more than 300 active volunteers, this initiative aspires to become a replicable model of active and informed citizenship. It directly enhances social inclusion for everyone, promoting participation in community life and leisure activities.
Moreover, the initiative raises awareness about sustainability, as volunteers assess eco-friendly and green practices during the mapping process. This dual focus on accessibility and sustainability makes the project both adaptable and scalable, offering a framework that can be replicated in other communities to build a more inclusive and sustainable society.
