In 2023, the WeMED Natour Consortium created a comprehensive guidebook with the goal of encouraging student engagement in sustainability, cultural appreciation, and the protection of natural wonders. The digital material serves as a resource for teachers and educators accompanying young student groups traveling to the West Mediterranean region, including Italy, Mauritania, Portugal, and Spain. The guidebook is tailored for three age groups—6 to 10 years old, 11 to 13 years old, and 14 to 16 years old—and includes six lessons with detailed plans and activities to engage students in these important topics. By fostering interest and awareness in responsible travel and sustainability, the guidebook aims to shape a generation of conscientious global citizens.
