The European Travel Commission (ETC) published a report in February 2025 with an analysis of the European tourism industry in Q4 2024, highlighting the sector's performance and recent developments. It reveals that, despite economic and geopolitical challenges, adverse weather, and shifting consumer behaviours, the sector showed resilience, with foreign arrivals up 6.3% compared to 2019 (6.7% compared to 2023) and overnight stays up 5.9% above 2019 levels (4.8% year-on-year). The report offers more insights to assist destination managers and industry professionals in tracking short-term tourism trends and identifying key travel patterns across Europe. The full version is available via the link on the left-hand side of the platform.
