The latest edition of the “Monitoring Sentiment for Intra-European Travel” report, published in July 2025 by the European Travel Commission (ETC) in collaboration with MINDHAUS, reveals that 77% of Europeans intend to travel between June and November 2025—demonstrating strong travel demand despite ongoing economic uncertainty. It highlights a growing interest in lesser-known destinations, with 55% of travellers opting for off-the-beaten-path locations—an increase from 48% in spring 2025.

Drawing on responses from 6,001 individuals across ten key European markets—Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, and Austria—the study provides in-depth insights into travel sentiment, motivations, and behaviours for both domestic and intra-European trips.

The report is structured into four sections: key findings and recommendations, travel intentions, planning behaviours, and travel-related considerations, aimed at supporting tourism stakeholders in preparing for the upcoming travel seasons.
