The European Parliament's Policy Department for Structural and Cohesion Policies published a study in October 2024 on how Cohesion Policy can support climate adaptation, regional resilience, and economic sustainability in the EU. The study identifies regional and sectoral adaptation needs, maps relevant EU policy instruments, and assesses current Cohesion Policy investment support. It highlights gaps between funding and needs, and offers recommendations to improve adaptation integration, develop tailored strategies, and enhance regional capacity.
