The "Skills developments and trends in the tourism sector" report, published in June 2020 by CEDEFOP, emphasises the intricacy of the tourism industry, which encompasses a wide range of enterprises and economic endeavours. Transportation services for passengers, lodging, dining establishments, food services, and leisure and cultural pursuits are among them. About 1.8 million new employment have been created in the EU's tourism industry since 2000, a notable job growth of 16 percent. This expansion exceeded the EU economy's total job increase. International arrivals and small businesses' contributions to the tourist industry's employment are highlighted in the report. To effectively prepare for labour and improve skills in the industry, it is imperative to comprehend these patterns.
