The Practical Guidelines for Transboundary Protected Area Managers in Europe, published by the EUROPARC Federation in 2025, aims to enhance cross-border cooperation in managing protected areas. The document focuses on best practices in conservation, sustainable tourism, policy and governance, climate change adaptation and cultural exchange. By analysing diverse case studies, it highlights innovative strategies and successful collaborations within EUROPARC-certified Transboundary Areas. The guidelines serve as a roadmap for managers to replicate and adapt these strategies, ensuring the resilience and sustainability of these ecologically significant regions.
