The Comparative Report of Tourism SMEs’ Needs focuses on the specific needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector across six European countries: Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Romania, and Slovenia. The report is part of the Star Growth project, funded by the EU Single Market Programme, aiming to support tourism SMEs in their transition towards sustainability and digitalization. It focuses on various topics, such as motivation and awareness of SMEs, audience demand, environmental certifications, and customer relationship management. In addition, the document emphasizes on importance of trainings and collaboration among SMEs for sustainable practices and enhancement of customer engagement. Overall, while there is a strong interest in both sustainability and digitalization, SMEs face significant challenges in these areas.
