The European Institute for Gender Equality’s publication examines the role of the tourism industry in promoting gender equality, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for women in the sector. It discusses how tourism can be a tool for economic empowerment for women but also points out the existing gender disparities in terms of access to education, jobs, and social facilities. Published in 2016, it explores gender equity in EU and international policies, making it valuable for policymakers.
