The European Capital of Smart Tourism is an EU initiative designed to enhance tourism innovation, attractiveness, economic growth, and job creation in European cities. To promote the exchange of best practices, encourage collaboration, and form new partnerships, the European Commission published a report on the top smart tourism practices from the 2024 competition. This report, available from January 2024, highlights best practices in four categories: accessibility, sustainability, digitalization, and cultural heritage and creativity.
