The inaugural edition of the EU Smart Tourism Podcast explores European smart tourism practices and the competition between towns to become the European Capitals of Smart Tourism. It aired in May 2022. The episode, which is hosted by Misa Labarile of the European Commission's DG GROW, includes talks with prominent tourism experts as well as representatives from Valencia and Bordeaux, the 2022 #EUTourismCapitals. They highlight the importance of smart tourism in influencing the direction of European travel and examine methods for developing into smart tourism hotspots.
