The Travel Foundation, in collaboration with Expedia Group, introduced a climate action training programme for destinations in February 2024. This free, self-paced online training is intended for professionals in Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) and National Tourism Organisations (NTOs), aiming to enhance climate literacy and empower tourism workers to lead climate change initiatives through the development of action plans and networking opportunities. It consists of eight modules, three peer-to-peer workshops, and optional personalised coaching sessions, giving participants the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable tourism and address climate change impacts.
To access the training, click the link on the left side of the platform and complete the form for full details.
