The Blue Flag program, operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education, began in 1987 and promotes clean coastlines, safe swimming areas, and access to pure water. The GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity Course, available online, aims to provide teachers, FEE National Operators, site operators, and youth aged 15 and above with a fundamental understanding of the importance of preserving biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, including practical examples of actions for biodiversity protection.
