The Tourism Act of Bulgaria, updated on 14 August, 2024, by the Ministry of Tourism, outlines the regulation, management, and control of tourism activities, services, and facilities in the country. It defines tourism zoning, creating and organizing management bodies for different regions, and promotes various types of tourism, including cultural, health, mountain, rural, wine, eco, congress, adventure, sports, hunting, and golf tourism. Overall, the Ministry of Tourism is tasked with developing and implementing national strategies for sustainable tourism development, while also ensuring consumer protection and prohibiting discrimination in tourism services (The original piece available only in Bulgarian).
