The French Tourism Code, published in September, 2022, by the French government, outlines the legal framework for tourism activities in France. It covers the organization of tourism at national and local levels, the roles and responsibilities of travel agents and operators, regulations for various types of accommodations, and the management of tourist sites and attractions. The code also includes provisions for the classification and operation of hotels, campsites, and other lodging facilities, as well as the promotion of tourism and the protection of tourists’ rights. Additionally, it addresses the financial aspects of tourism, such as funding for vacation access and tourism-related taxes (The original piece available only in French).
