The Circular Fashion Manifesto, a key initiative of the Monitor for Circular Fashion (M4CF) by SDA Bocconi School of Management, continues to drive sustainability and circularity in the fashion industry in 2024. This manifesto represents a collective commitment by companies across the fashion supply chain to implement measurable circular strategies and enhance transparency.

 

The 2024 edition expands the network of partners that contribute to amplifying the impact of M4CF and making its scientific research findings increasingly representative.  

M4CF was launched in 2021 with an initial network of partners, including YKK, Vivienne Westwood, Save The Duck, Candiani Denim, Manteco, Vibram, RadiciGroup, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Dedagroup Stealth, PLM Impianti, Albini Group, Oscalito, Temera, and BIP.

The partner companies, recognised globally for their excellence in the textile, apparel, leather, and footwear sectors, actively participate in a community of managers and experts through training sessions, brainstorming meetings, experimental projects on responsible innovation, field visits, and dissemination events.

The Monitor for Circular Fashion aims to provide a structured framework for companies to align with European regulations against greenwashing and support sustainability claims with concrete actions. Since its launch, the initiative has identified and analysed over 40 circularity KPIs, covering aspects such as material sourcing, production processes, retail strategies, and end-of-life product management.  

A major milestone for 2024 was the presentation of the updated Circular Fashion Manifesto during Milan Fashion Week in September. This revised version includes in total 14 pilot and industrialisation projects, aimed at embedding circularity into business models across the fashion industry.
