The European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN) is the only pan-European network dedicated to the development and promotion of cultural tourism. Established in 2009, ECTN brings together destinations, authorities, NGOs, and research institutes to exchange best practices and foster innovation in cultural tourism. The network advocates for sustainable tourism that integrates cultural heritage management with tourism activities, benefiting local communities socially, environmentally, and economically. ECTN’s initiatives include organizing annual conferences, award contests, and collaborative projects that align with European Union cultural and tourism policies.ECTN also provides a platform for networking and collaboration among cultural tourism stakeholders.
