The European Commission is investing EUR 12 million to boost walking, cycling, and smart micromobility in cities across Europe, driving progress towards greener, more climate-neutral urban transport.

The European Commission has allocated a total budget of EUR 12 million to support projects that aim to:

Increase the modal share of walking and cycling in follower cities;
Enhance the integration of (e-)bikes, e-scooters, and other smart micromobility vehicles into digital and green road infrastructure;
Support cities in progressing towards climate neutrality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transport through active mobility initiatives;
Contribute to the development of EU policies on walking, cycling, and micromobility in urban areas.
All legal entities, regardless of their country of establishment, are eligible to participate.
