The European Commission has launched a new call under the EU Mission on Cancer to encourage active and sustainable mobility — such as walking, cycling, and micro-mobility — as a means to reduce cancer risks and improve public health across European cities. This initiative also aims to cut emissions and promote the use of smart technologies in urban transport systems. The funding is open to a wide range of entities, including public authorities, non-profits, SMEs, and other legal bodies based in EU Member States or associated countries. Successful applicants will receive co-funding for collaborative research and innovation projects, with the total budget equaling EUR 12 million. Applications must be submitted by 4 September 2025.
