The Bulgarian government has committed to doing everything necessary to preserve the ancient city of Nessebar on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Evtim Miloshev, during a meeting with Ernesto Ottone Ramirez, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Culture, in Paris. Bulgaria is working on implementing the recommendations of the World Heritage Committee to maintain Nessebar’s status. The country is also preparing to host the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee in 2025. Additionally, Bulgaria is focusing on developing cultural tourism and preserving other UNESCO sites (The original piece available only in Bulgarian).
