The European Commission has launched a EUR 9 million call for proposals to transform border crossings using secure, human rights-focused technologies that enhance both the traveller experience and border security, inviting global innovators to apply by 12 November 2025.

The European Commission has allocated EUR 9 million in funding for initiatives aimed at improving the border crossing experience for both travellers and border control personnel, while ensuring robust security and effective monitoring at the EU’s external borders.

Participation is open to all legal entities, irrespective of their country of registration.
