The Dutch government has announced decisions regarding the cultural basic infrastructure for 2025-2028. In result, they decided to allocate €559 million annually to 115 cultural institutions and six national cultural funds, marking a significant increase from the previous period. This funding aims to ensure fair pay and address inflation and cost increases. Notably, more than half of these institutions will be situated outside the major cities, with a focus on enhancing talent development in classical music and improving governance in the cultural sector (The original piece available only in Dutch).
