In October 2024, the European Union released Directive (EU) 2024/2841 and Directive (EU) 2024/2842, which establish the European Disability Card and the European Parking Card for people with disabilities. These EU-wide cards are designed to enhance cross-border travel and improve mobility and access to facilities for persons with disabilities throughout all EU countries.
