The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) have joined forces to transform the perspectives of destinations and businesses concerning workers and customers with disabilities. At ITB Berlin 2025, they emphasised the advantages of accessible tourism and advocated for a more inclusive sector through global collaboration. A report will be published as a result of this collaboration, highlighting good practices and recommendations for working with end-users with disabilities, building an accessibility business case, upskilling employees, and adapting job roles and environments in hospitality. For more details on the organisations' collaborative efforts, follow the link provided on the left-hand side of the platform.
