According to Travel Tomorrow, Ibiza's local government has partnered with Airbnb to crack down on illegal tourist accommodations. This initiative, signed on 20 February 2025, aims to eliminate holiday rentals that operate outside legal boundaries and ensure compliance with local regulations. Airbnb will remove non-compliant listings and require hosts to provide valid registration numbers, while the Ibiza Council will increase inspections and enforcement efforts.
