According to Travel Tomorrow, the Spanish State Secretariat for Security has introduced new registration to enhance national security by updating rules that have been in place since 1959. These rules require hotels and tourist accommodation providers, including short-term rental and Airbnb operators, to collect and share a new set of personal information from all visitors aged 14 and over. However, tourism businesses are raising significant concerns about these changes, fearing they could impact the local tourism industry.
