According to Travel Tomorrow, volcanic lava might soon be used as a sustainable building material for constructing houses. This concept, known as 'Lavaforming,' will be presented by Arnhildur Pálmadóttir of s.ap architects at Iceland's national pavilion during the 19th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice in 2025. The innovative approach aims to leverage Iceland's abundant volcanic activity to reduce atmospheric emissions.

For more details on this initiative, which offers a potential solution to the construction industry's significant carbon emissions, please refer to the attached link.
