According to POLIS, the Câble C1, Île-de-France's first urban cable car, is nearing completion and is expected to launch by the summer of 2025. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity between the municipalities in the Île-de-France region, addressing the urgent need for efficient public transport in densely populated areas with complex urban landscapes. Led by Île-de-France Mobilités, the transport authority for the Paris region and a member of the POLIS network, the project will cover approximately 4.5 kilometres and feature five fully accessible stations to accommodate passengers with reduced mobility and cyclists, promoting inclusive and multimodal transport options.
