At a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee in February 2025, Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism, Miroslav Borshosh, outlined the ministry’s current priorities for the sustainable development of the tourism sector. These priorities include advancing digital transformation, implementing a revised advertising strategy, and positioning Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination.
The Minister also highlighted several key challenges facing the sector: maintaining year-round employment, enhancing Bulgaria’s competitiveness in the global market, improving the quality of the national tourism offer, safeguarding consumer interests, and reducing administrative burdens on businesses. These areas will remain central to the ministry’s efforts.
