The first-ever Textiles Recycling Expo 2025 took place on 4-5 June 2025 in Brussels, as part of the EU Green Week partner events. Designed to drive collaboration and innovation across the textiles value chain, the expo focused on advancing recycling solutions for fabrics, garments, footwear, and non-wovens. Organised by AMI Plastics in partnership with several European industry associations, the event aligned with growing momentum around circularity in the textiles sector and EU-level policy action.
The expo featured a dedicated conference programme, live demonstrations of cutting-edge recycling technologies, and showcased automated sorting and shredding systems. Discussions explored regulatory frameworks, technological readiness, and the commercial potential of textile-to-textile recycling. The energy on-site was described as dynamic and forward-looking, with strong interest from innovators, recyclers, brands, and policymakers alike.
With its inaugural edition setting the tone for deeper industry engagement, the event marked a key milestone in Europe’s transition towards a circular textile economy. Future editions are already planned in Brussels and North America, underlining the global relevance of textile recycling efforts.
