Based on the latest data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in the Netherlands, the peak intensity of overnight stays typically occurs in July and August. In 2023, the highest level was recorded in August, with 3.64 overnight stays per day per 100 inhabitants. In 2021, Other Zeeland and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen had the highest rates. Despite the increasing tourism intensity, life satisfaction among Dutch people remains high at 83.4% in 2022, and the World Happiness Index stands at 7.3 in 2024.
