By 2025, Lenzing pledges to enhancing supplier engagement, encompassing over 80% percent of expenditure, to improve sustainability performance throughout the supply chain. Lenzing’s commitment to upholding and driving the respect of environmental and social rights is inherent to its business model and pledges to further extending this effort to its global supply chain. Where possible, Lenzing is actively enhancing its engagement with suppliers to minimise the carbon footprint of products and stimulate business partners to commit to higher environmental and social standards. In 2022, Lenzing began incorporating sustainability clauses in its contracts for chemical suppliers, mirroring the EU’s efforts to introduce Trade and Sustainable Development chapters in its Free Trade Agreements. These clauses are integral for conducting business and ensure that contracts are only validated after scrutiny of compliance with sustainability measures. Suppliers are expected to set GHG reduction targets and adhere to Lenzing's Suppliers Code of Conduct. Lenzing invests in continuous education for its buyers and hosts regular discussions with sustainability rating providers to further reinforce its dedication to sustainable business practices.

Τarget date: 01/01/2026
Measurable Target: Lenzing assesses 95 percent of its top suppliers representing 80 percent of spend via EcoVadis, the Together for Sustainability Audit or an internal assessment/audit by 2025.
