Tech:Match – building partnerships about tech-transfer in tourism 

Aim:
To match European Technology startups and SMEs with Danish SMEs in the tourism industry to jointly develop or implement a technology increasing digitalization and automation within the industry. By doing so we are enabling tourism companies to build new solutions and new or more sustainable business models.

1. Actions:
a) Identify specific industry challenges where adapting and implementing new technology can increase the 
efficiency of the industry and or provide green solutions. 
b) Match the specific challenges with technology partners found through an open call.
c) Create and facilitate a number af partnership processes to try-out, implement and adapt the specific 
technologies based on the match process between tourism companies and technology suppliers.

2. Targets/Results:
a) Identify 10 challenges in the tourism industry.
b) Sign-up of partnership agreements of up to 10 selected technology startups or SMEs.
c) Implementation and adaptation of up to 10 specific technologies to solve the identified challenges.

3. Timeline:
a) The challenges have been identified (medio 2023)
b) Partnership agreements (October 2023)
c) Tech:Match formal partnerships November-december 2023 – but ideally the interest of the parties in a 
challenge will result in a continued business-relationship.
d) Evaluation and key learnings from the initiative forms the basis of a decision on further scale and 
continuation of the initiative – Q1 2024.
