The European Commission’s framework for action on cultural heritage, published in 2019, aims to promote and protect cultural heritage across Europe. It adopts an integrated and participatory approach, focusing on five main areas: inclusive Europe, sustainable Europe, resilient Europe, innovative Europe, and stronger global partnerships. These areas represent the initiative’s commitment to integrating cultural heritage into EU policies and programs, thereby strengthening the sense of unity within the European space. For a more in-depth understanding of the framework’s scope, ambition, and pillars, a detailed PDF version of the framework is available.
