The European Commission submitted a report to the European Parliament and the Council regarding the implementation of Directive (EU) 2015/2302, which regulates package travel and linked travel arrangements within the EU. Released in February 2021, the report assesses the directive's success in safeguarding consumers and promoting fair competition among travel service providers. The findings were shared through official EU channels and stakeholder consultations. This initiative is vital for strengthening consumer protection, especially given the changing landscape of travel bookings and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
