From 2021 to 2027, the Sustainable Tourism Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme aimed to foster circular tourism by using innovative technologies to enhance ecosystem sustainability and promote the preservation of natural resources and cultural heritage. This initiative involved two governance projects working together to develop solutions and promote cooperation across the Euro-MED region and beyond, aiming to increase coordination and institutional capacity for making tourism greener, smarter, and more resilient.
