The ECOing project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, is an initiative developed by young individuals from rural areas to tackle the dual challenges of ecological preservation and economic growth in their communities. It aims to introduce the concept of ecotourism to young people, particularly those from regions with potential for transformation towards a green economy and tourism development. Running from August 2024 to March 2025, the project focuses on educating 42 European youths about sustainable ecotourism practices through non-formal education and intercultural exchange. Additionally, it promotes active citizenship and community engagement, fostering an innovative approach to ecotourism.
