The EU Rural Tourism initiative, running from September 1st, 2022, to August 31st, 2024, and co-funded by the COSME program of the European Union, addresses the rising demand for rural tourism and related services, a trend accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative aims to capitalize on the opportunities presented by transnational collaboration within the EuroCluster Rural Tourism (ERT), expanding market reach beyond traditional local and regional boundaries. By fostering cooperation among stakeholders in rural, eco, farm, and sustainable tourism sectors, EU Rural Tourism seeks to address evolving tourism trends and meet the increased demand for such services, thereby promoting economic growth and resilience in rural communities.
