The GastroTour project, funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, aims to strengthen university-industry partnerships to support the sustainable development of regional gastronomic and wine tourism in Georgia and South Africa. Coordinated by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University in Georgia, it focuses on creating digital educational tools, micro-credential learning packages, and an interactive platform for business model assessment and student-led consultancy. Running from November 2024 to October 2027, its expected outcomes include enhanced skills in the tourism sector, improved collaboration between academia and industry, and innovative solutions for local economic growth.
