The "Greenways of Spain" project, funded by the European Union's NextGenerationEU programme through the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism, aims to enhance the competitiveness, sustainability, and accessibility of Spain's greenways. Coordinated by the Spanish Railways Foundation, it focuses on integrating railway heritage, improving tourism experiences and promoting digital and inclusive tourism. Running until September 2025,  its expected outcomes include better co-governance, increased intermodal transport options and enhanced rural development (The original piece available only in Spanish).
