The MareSkill project, funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, aims to bridge the gap between labour market needs and available skills in the blue economy by aligning training and curricula with industry demands. Coordinated by the Polytechnic of Šibenik, it focuses on education, upskilling, and reskilling in sectors such as marine tourism, aquaculture, and offshore energy, through pilot courses and cross-border cooperation among educational institutions. Running from April 2024 to September 2026, its expected outcomes include improved training methods, enhanced employment opportunities, and a more competitive and sustainable blue economy.
