The SMARTAUTO project, funded by Interreg Europe, aims to address the uneven implementation of autonomous vehicles (AVs) across Europe by fostering a collaborative network to accelerate innovation and share best practices. Running from May 2025 to July 2029, it focuses on evaluating AVs' social, environmental and economic impacts to support informed policymaking. Expected outcomes include enhanced safety, accessibility and sustainability in AV deployment, contributing to the future of personal mobility and logistics.
