The 'Tourism for Future' initiative, supported by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo, was launched in June 2023 to promote sustainable tourism in the cross-border regions of Kosovo and Montenegro. Implemented by Prishtina REA in collaboration with the IPER Institute, Kolašin municipality, and Gjeravica, it seeks, among other activities, to assist tourism (accommodation) businesses in the Peja and Kolašin regions in assessing, promoting, and practising the new working culture of eco-development standards and certification with the international EU Eco Label Standard. Running until June 2025, the project outcomes include integrating capacity building, eco-label certification, and sustainable tourism practices into the local tourism industry.
