The Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference 2026 brings together the textile research community and industry to discuss technologies and developments shaping the future of textiles. Hosted by the textile research locations Aachen, Dresden and Denkendorf, the conference regularly attracts more than 600 participants and provides a platform for exchange between academia and industrial partners.

The 2026 programme features more than 18 plenary and keynote lectures as well as three parallel thematic sessions with over 48 contributed talks. Topics range from smart and protective textiles, synthetic and metal fibres, spinning and weaving technologies and adaptive lightweight structures to industrial upcycling and simulation based optimisation of textile production processes.

Circularity and sustainable textile production are also central themes. Contributions address the circular textile economy, textile legislation, Extended Producer Responsibility, sustainable chemical processes and pathways from fast fashion towards circular systems. Particular attention is given to transferring research and technological innovation into practical industrial applications.
