The Advanced Recycling Conference 2026 will bring together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and recycling specialists to discuss emerging technologies and implementation approaches for advanced recycling systems. Organised by nova-Institut GmbH, the conference will focus on solutions for complex waste streams, including mixed plastics, textiles, automotive materials, and composite products. The event will examine how advanced recycling technologies can contribute to circular economy objectives, resource efficiency, and sustainable material management across industrial value chains.

The programme will cover physical, chemical, thermochemical, and biochemical recycling processes, alongside supporting technologies such as digital and AI-based systems for sorting, traceability, and process optimisation. Discussions are expected to address recycling challenges linked to fibre blends, additives, and composite structures, as well as growing regulatory requirements and recycling targets within the EU. The conference will also include sessions on Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU), pre and post-processing technologies, and recycling applications for sectors including textiles and plastics. According to the organisers, the event aims to strengthen collaboration across research, policy, and industrial ecosystems to support the scaling of circular material solutions.

The conference will take place on 17-18 November 2026 in Cologne, Germany, and online in a hybrid format. Calls for abstracts and posters are currently open, with deadlines set for 31 July and 9 October 2026 respectively. For more information and registration details, readers are encouraged to refer to the European Circular Economy stakeholder platform event piece.
