Hamburg Textile Week 2026 will take place from 1 to 11 October at various locations across Hamburg. Organised by Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft together with Design Zentrum Hamburg and FABRIC – Future Fashion Lab, the event provides a platform for exchange between textile design, research, education and industry.

At the centre of the programme is the exhibition “Stoffe mit Zukunft”, presenting 14 projects from Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. The projects explore developments in materials, production processes and technologies, ranging from bio-based and circular materials to energy-generating textiles, AI interfaces, textile art and applications that connect textiles with the human body and advanced technologies.

Beyond the exhibition, Hamburg Textile Week includes talks, workshops and events at universities, production sites and innovation spaces across the city. Topics include circularity, future fashion, material innovation, textile production and design. The programme aims to foster exchange between regional, national and international experts while demonstrating how textile innovation can contribute to more sustainable and future-oriented products and value chains.
