Participants will gain insights into how thermoresponsive hydrogels (materials that change their properties in response to temperature) can be integrated into textiles to deliver advanced functionalities. These include adaptive behaviour, responsiveness to environmental conditions and enhanced performance in applications such as wearable technologies and functional fabrics.
The webinar will highlight the fundamentals of negative thermoresponsive hydrogel systems, integration pathways into textile structures, potential applications in smart and functional textiles and latest research developments and innovation opportunities
Smart textiles are an increasingly important area of innovation, combining material science, electronics, and textile engineering to create fabrics capable of sensing and responding to stimuli. Events such as this provide a platform for researchers, innovators and industry stakeholders to exchange knowledge and explore collaboration opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.
As part of ECOSYSTEX’s ongoing activities, the webinar contributes to knowledge sharing and cross-project collaboration, supporting the development of sustainable and high-performance textile solutions in Europe.
