Each year, the Textile Exchange Conference serves as a global nexus for stakeholders across the textile and fashion value chain — from brands and supply system partners to innovators, farmers, NGOs, and academics. For three days, participants come together for focused, collaborative learning aimed at driving sustainable transformation in the industry.
The theme of the 2025 edition, Shifting Landscapes, speaks directly to the critical need for urgent adaptation in the face of climate change. As environmental conditions evolve rapidly, the textile sector is challenged not only to mitigate risks but also to embrace new opportunities for systemic change.
Adaptation is already underway in many areas of the industry. Regenerative agriculture practices, more circular and resilient business models, and community-led innovations are becoming essential responses to increasingly severe climate risks. The 2025 Conference will shine a spotlight on these place-based solutions, exploring how local insights can inform broader industry strategies and align with global sustainability frameworks.
Importantly, the event will emphasize the importance of centering and supporting the communities most affected by climate impacts. By amplifying their voices and highlighting their contributions, the Textile Exchange Conference aims to build a more inclusive and responsive roadmap toward sustainability.
As the industry navigates an increasingly complex environmental landscape, the 2025 Textile Exchange Conference will offer a critical space for shared learning, strategy-building, and inspiration — paving the way for a more climate-resilient textile future.
