The Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) 2026 is a leading international event dedicated to renewable carbon, sustainable materials and the transition towards a defossilised economy. Organised by the nova-Institute, the conference brings together companies, researchers, innovators, investors and policymakers to discuss technologies and strategies that replace fossil-based carbon with bio-based, recycled and CO₂-based alternatives.
Across three conference days, participants will explore developments in renewable carbon strategies, fossil-free plastics, fine and speciality chemicals, recycled polymers, biodegradation, circular economy solutions and policy frameworks supporting industrial transformation. The programme includes around 80 presentations, more than 20 panel discussions, 16 workshops, an exhibition and the presentation of the Renewable Material of the Year 2026 innovation award.
For the textile ecosystem, the conference provides valuable insights into renewable materials, recycled polymers, bio-based feedstocks and circular solutions that support the development of more sustainable textile products and value chains. It also offers opportunities to connect with stakeholders from across the renewable carbon economy and explore innovations relevant to textile manufacturing, advanced materials and circular production.
